I installed the NUVO Manor whole house water filtration system in November of 2010 and we noticed an immediate change in the hardness of our water. In fact, immediately after installing the filter, we noticed the water in the sinks and toilets turning a light green color. This meant that the calcium lime built up in our copper pipes (house is 8 years old and never had a soft water treatment system) was dissolving and flushing out of our plumbing system. I recently installed a home size softener in my parents home and they love it! They live in a very rural area and have fought the hard water from a culinary well for years. They haven't been able to have a dishwasher and there is hard water stains on ALL of their fixtures. I was skeptical until I learned that this company has been using the same technology in commercial kitchens/laundry facilities for years. It seemed too good to be true.... half the cost of a traditional "salt" water softener and no more trips up and down the stairs carrying 40 lb bags of salt! The unit softens the water and even cleans the "scale" out of our existing pipes. No problems so far, works great.

There is nothing I hated more than buying those salt bags every other trip to the grocery store. Is this the right time? Is it too soon? Has it been too long? Plus they are too heavy for my wife to carry. I now have a small compact & long lasting water softener that I only have to change out the cartridge twice a year. (for my water use) When my old water softener went down I went without one for several months before I had this one installed. I never was able to feel that much of a difference between hard or soft water but my wife said she could feel a night and day difference right away. Where I do see a difference is on the scale buildup especially on the drinking glasses. After only a few months without soft water all my shower heads started to clog. The kitchen sink sprayer all but stopped and the dishes were the worst of it. This led me to the idea to have this unit installed where the water comes into the house. I now have scale fighting soft water going throughout my entire house. And yes, bring a towel when you change out the cartridge.

We love this product! The unit is small and will fit in any home The cost is a fraction of other systems we looked at and there won't be any more bags of salt to buy and haul down to the basement. I was used to salt systems that left my skin feeling slick so I wasn't sure the salt free system was working but when the scale clogging the shower head started to disappear I was thrilled. A hard water solution Review by John
I have been looking for an alternative to a water softener for hard water scaling for several years. I have tried magnets, special media and electronic descalers. None have been satisfactory. I came across nuvoH2O on the internet and after speaking with the technical people there, decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with the service I have received from the company. They have been helpful and responsive to my questions. I have been using the product for about 3 months now and I have seen improvements and I am hopeful that these improvements will continue to develop as the citric acid continues to clean the lines and water heater. Since scale has been building for years, some patience is required as the solution is not instantaneous. But I can say that of all the alternatives I have tried, this has produced the best results so far. I am still seeing some scale accumulation in toilets, especially those that are not frequently flushed. But it is less than before and thus more easily removed. I recommend this product.

This is the only water softener that you will ever need! Texas has the hardest water in the country; and almost impossible to be without a water softener. I have replaced the water heater every 3 to 4 yrs; and my plumber showed me how the accumulation was almost a solid mass; and burning out the bottom elements. The toilets needed to be replaces because the holes that flush the toilets would clog up and stop working. I tried a tank less water heater but that stop working with the buildup in the small tubes.
Over the years I tried a conventional water softener; the magnets that you put around the pipes, the new electric type that you wrap a wire around the pipe and plug into the electric deice, but none of them worked
When I saw the advertising for the Nuvo H2O I was extremely skeptical, but the warranty convinced me that I could return it and get a full refund and loose nothing if it did not work. I called the company and talked to the technical people and asked all the questions and concerns I have. They were very knowledgeable and understanding. I ordered the unit and installed it on a weekend. With in 3 weeks I saw a significant difference in the water. The water in the shower had more force and I used less soap. It felt great on my skin; and my wife also, (who though that I had fallen for another TV product that was a waste of money), commented on how it felt,and how much less soap she was using on the laundry. The water tasted better and all of the scale on the dishes and dishwasher was disappearing. I no longer need to take the aerators apart every few months and clean the screens. after installing the unit almost a yr ago I have not had to clean them and the water flows freely.

I was very sceptical at first before I bought this. (I spent about a month e-mailing the sales guy before I bought) So I eventually bought it. I always noticed a red ring around my toilet that would develop after approximately 5 days after cleaning. After I installed it the red ring never came back. The whole calcium disappearing without cleaning thing, I didn't notice a difference. It didn't leave my skin feeling slimy afterwards, which is a plus! I have yet to get a water test to tell the actual difference, but overall I would say Yes it works. I would recommend this product to another person.

Value: I live on the coast of James Island, SC. I've been on a shallow well (for all our household needs) for 28 years and knew I had a high calcium content (per our local DHEC dept), but it didn't seem to be a problem.
About a year ago I started to notice a slight white buildup on the inside of our dishwasher, but let it ride. About 6 months ago we had to begin to occasionally wash all our dishes and silverware w/ vinegar.
I finally broke down and bought an inexpensive hardness test kit (a simple test strip type) about 2 weeks ago and was shocked to get a reading of 250-425. The max. I decided I needed to look into some manner of water softening.
Hunted around (not wanting a salt system due to heart issues)locally and then on the Net and discovered Nuvoh20. Found this site (and others) and, although I was skeptical (hadn't ever heard of chelation - only the standard salt softening method), so I looked up chelation. The description made sense i.e., bind up the Ca such that it was water soluble and could not complex out of solution.
So I called Nuvo and I talked with a rep (Josh, several times, who was VERY patient) and ended up buying a Whole House system.
Well. let me tell you, I have been blown away.
I installed the system late last Friday (July 29th). The following day at about 6PM I rechecked the hardness (using a new test strip from the same hardness testing system mentioned above) and it registered a reading of 50. Just that quick the Nova system was working. The water characteristics were just as dramatic.
Showering is better - actually getting some decent suds. Hand washing as well. The water "feels" softer (subjective, I know, but that's how it feels). And the most recent dusting inside the dishwasher is starting to disappear. And we're finally seeing a similar effect from the hot water side now that the "old" water in the tank is finally flushed through.
Don't know what to think of the negative comments on this site, but for my money and with the results I've seen thus far, this Nuvo system is incredible. How long the cartridge lasts remains to be seen but I'll cross that bridge later. For now, I couldn't be more pleased.

We bought this product with the intention that with the money back offer we would be in the same place if it didn't work. WOW!!
Were we wrong about it not working. We read all the different reviews and agree that the review timelines seemed a "little suspect". We couldn't be happier that we were proven wrong. The unit came in 4 days from time order was placed, was easy to install ( minor plumbing skills required). When we first put the water on we could feel a difference in the water, we called a neighbor over that has been in our neighborhood for 15 years and has dealt ad nauseam with the hard water in our area. She was amazed at water coming out of the tap, she asked if she could wash her hair in the sink!!!! She did and said that her hair hasn't felt that good since she was on vacation . As far as the claims that it helps clear residual build up in shower heads and faucet heads, well again we were amazed. The shower head in our bath has always had a few "sprayers" that dribbled water. In the span of one week the shower is spraying out of all "sprayers" and giving us the best shower our tankless water heater ever gave us!!!! The biggest thing we have noticed is that the water feels better on our skin, hair, clothes, and dishes are coming cleaner (no spots). I am a contractor and I prefer to use new products ( tankless water heaters, dual flow toilets, etc.) on my own home before I recommend any "new technology" to anyone. I can say in my opinion this product works and works well !!! The company has great customer service and I was very pleased with the purchase. hope this helps anyone looking for a solution to hard water issues.
